I recently had the pleasure of meeting Kassi and Tyler for their engagement photo session this fall. We had been looking forward to the session for quite some time after having to reschedule due to Ohio’s typical weather changes. The session landed on a chilly, overcast day – perfect for photos (except for the cold, anyway). Squire’s Castle in Willoughby was the session location. Normally the park is full of families and friends walking the trails and playing on the hill, but we were blessed to have the grounds to ourselves the entire time we were there.

Shooting at Squire’s Castle makes me nervous. The castle is so large and can really take away from the main focus of the session: the couple. But with a bit of brainstorming and the help of their adorable pup Dexter, we were able to get some beautiful shots! We were able to get this whole session done in less than an hour, which was great considering it was so cold. I’m pretty sure there were even a few snowflakes falling throughout the shoot! Brrrrr.

Engagement sessions have always been my favorite. You get to learn so much about the couple and tie their personality into the photos. Both of them are Brown’s fans, so we had some fun with the photos to keep things true to their personalities. Kassi and Tyler were friendly and easy going in front of the camera, and Dexter was too much fun for words! I really enjoyed taking the football themed shots. They were full of energy and a lot of fun, and are truly unique to couple.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with this family, and sincerely look forward to their upcoming wedding next summer!
